The "5th International Conference on Electronics and Communication, Network and Computer Technology (ECNCT 2023)" was successfully convened in Guangzhou on August 20, 2023. The event was jointly hosted by the School of Automation at the Guangdong University of Technology and the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Detection & Manufacturing Internet of Things under the Ministry of Education (Guangdong University of Technology). It was also co-hosted by the Joint Laboratory of Discrete Manufacturing Intelligence in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao, the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Information Processing and System Integration of IoT, and the Key Laboratory of IoT Information Technology in Guangdong Province. The Academic Exchange Information Center (AEIC) played a pivotal role in the organization of the conference. This conference was dedicated to fostering academic exchanges in the domains of "Communication Technology and Applications, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering and Application Technology, Electronics and Electrical Engineering."

In the inaugural ceremony, President Guoxu Zhou, who also served as the conference chair, delivered a warm welcome speech, extending congratulations on the successful commencement of the event. He conveyed his aspiration that the scholars participating in the conference would actively engage in enriching exchanges, cultivating a dynamic milieu for international academic discourse. He emphasized the creation of a conducive platform for discussions on scientific and technological innovation, envisioning a collaborative environment for productive dialogues.

The conference extended invitations to distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr.-Ing. Abdelhak M. Zoubir (IEEE Fellow, EURASIP Fellow) from Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany), and Prof. Dusit (Tao) Niyato (IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow) from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore). The lineup also featured Prof. Xu Chen from Sun Yat-sen University, Prof. Wen Liu from Wuhan University of Technology, and Associate Prof. Feng Yin from the School of Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). This notable event garnered participation from scholars representing universities worldwide, alongside local experts and other attendees, who joined both in-person and virtually to engage in the conference activities.

Throughout the conference, scholars energetically engaged in oral presentations, sparking insightful discussions with both guests and fellow scholars in attendance. Scholars representing esteemed institutions including Guangdong University of Technology, Shijiazhuang Railway University, Beijing University of Architecture, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Beijing University of Information Science and Technology, among others, delivered captivating oral presentations within the realms of "Communication Technology and Applications, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering and Application Technology, Electronics and Electrical Engineering."

In addition to featuring keynote speeches and oral presentations, the conference also included an on-site academic poster exhibition and evaluation session. This substantially augmented the academic exchange ambiance within the conference setting, furnishing participants with a robust platform for engaging in academic exchanges.
